Real-World Training in a Home Adventure Setting
Let us do the hard work for you! Our Basic and Advanced Dog Camps are designed for owners with busy schedules who want a well-mannered, responsive dog—without the stress of doing it all themselves. Tailored for dogs 6 months and older, these immersive camps turn everyday training into an engaging and enriching adventure.
Your dog will join us at our private home and training retreat in Grass Valley, where they’ll live as part of our family. From structured routines and obedience sessions to exposure to new environments and playtime on our securely fenced 3-acre property, each day is filled with learning, fun, and purpose.
Because this is truly a home-based experience, we only accept a limited number of dogs at a time to ensure every dog receives personalized attention, guidance, and care.
When your dog returns to you, they’ll come back not just trained—but transformed. You’ll also receive a private go-home lesson and all the training equipment your dog used during camp, including: Raised cot, Treat pouch, Slip leash or prong collar, and a Remote training e-collar (for the Advanced Camp)
You’ll be equipped with everything you need to keep the adventure going at home, with clear instruction on how to reinforce their training and respond confidently when challenges arise.

- We always tailor the timeline to your dog’s needs, allowing a little extra time if needed to ensure lasting result

Basic Camp (All on Leash)
(Approximately 3 Weeks • $3,800)
Embark on an adventure that transforms your dog’s daily routine into an exciting learning journey, all while keeping your pup safely on leash. In our Basic Camp, your dog will receive expert training in a home environment full of exploration and hands-on guidance.
What Your Dog Will Learn While With Us:
- Loose Leash Walking: Develop smooth, responsive walking skills with no resistance, turning every walk into an enjoyable adventure.
- Crate Training: Build comfort and security in the crate, making it a safe retreat during downtime.
- Exposure to New Environments: Experience a variety of settings that boost confidence and help your dog adjust to new sights, sounds, and smells.
- Lured and Verbal Commands: Master the sit and down commands using both lure and verbal cues for real-world communication.
- Extended Relaxation: Learn to stay on a raised cot for 1-2 hours, ideal for those times when you’re busy at home, whether relaxing on the couch, working at your desk, or cooking dinner.
- Socialization: Enjoy both indirect and direct interactions with people and other dogs, tailored to your dog’s individual comfort level.
- Behavior Shaping: Reduce unwanted behaviors such as nipping, biting, and excessive jumping.
- Foundation for a Recall: Practice coming when called on a long leash, the start of a recall should you choose to develop this skill at a later time.
This Basic Camp is designed to offer your dog a structured, fun, and safe adventure that sets the stage for a lifetime of excellent behavior. Each activity and training session is carefully curated to build lasting skills and confidence all while enjoying the comforts of our home-based environment.
Advanced Camp (Off Leash Recall)
(Approximately 4 Weeks • $4,200)
Step into the next level of training with our Advanced Camp, a dynamic, adventure filled program designed to unlock your dog’s full potential, both on and off the leash. At our home based training retreat in Grass Valley, your dog will join us for an immersive experience that deepens essential skills while exploring new environments and tackling real world distractions.
What Your Dog Will Learn While With Us:
- Loose Leash Walking: Master smooth, responsive walking and proper leash handling that feels like second nature.
- Crate Training: Achieve comfort and security inside the crate, helping your dog settle and thrive during downtime.
- Exposure & Public Etiquette: Gain confidence through exposure to diverse environments, learning proper manners and distraction management in public.
- Lured and Verbal Commands: Perfect the sit and down commands through both lured and verbal cues for enhanced communication.
- Extended ‘Down Stay’: Maintain a down stay at a distance, reinforcing self control in challenging settings.
- Extended Relaxation: Become accustomed to resting on a raised cot for 1-2 hours a vital skill for when you’re at home or on the go.
- Socialization: Engage in both indirect and direct social interactions with people and other dogs, carefully tailored to your dog’s comfort level.
- Behavior Shaping: Learn to limit nipping, biting, and excessive jumping behaviors effectively.
- Off-Leash Recall: Perfect the “Here” command off leash using an e-collar for advanced recall, ensuring your dog reliably returns under any circumstance.

Prerequisites:
- Dogs must be 6 months or older, and considered good candidates for advanced training.
- Up-to-date vaccinations are required.
- A $1,000 non-refundable deposit is needed to reserve your spot, with the remainder due at the start of camp.

For all of our Bay Area clients, we do offer pick up service in Orinda at the start of camp for no additional cost to you!
