Our specialized Reactive Dog Camp is designed to give your dog the extra time and guidance needed for a true mental reset, setting the stage for lasting change in public settings.

An Immersive Adventure Experience

In our home based camp in Grass Valley, your dog embarks on an adventure that goes beyond simple behavior modification. Our extended program not only addresses problem behaviors but also builds a strong, trusting relationship and equips your dog with the skills to explore the world with confidence. Each journey is tailored to your dog’s unique needs, and spaces are limited, so be sure to reach out and share your dog’s story with us to learn about upcoming camp dates.

What’s Included in Your Adventure Camp:

Mid-Camp and End-of-Camp Lessons: Two personalized, one-on-one sessions designed to empower you with the tools and knowledge to continue your dog’s progress at home. Sessions are held at our Grass Valley retreat or at a nearby park.
Training Tools: Your dog will use equipment such as raised cots, treat pouch, slip leash and or e-collar.

During the Camp, Your Dog Will Explore and Learn:

Limiting Reactivity: Techniques to reduce barking at dogs, people, small animals, and other outside sounds.
Confidence Building: Guidance through exposure to new locations and potential triggers in a controlled, supportive environment.
Loose Leash Walking: Developing relaxed, responsive walking skills with proper leash handling.
Crate Training: Acclimating your dog to crate time for comfort and security.
Exposure to New Environments & Public Etiquette: Training around distractions and learning proper behavior in diverse settings.
Lured and Verbal Sit and Down: Strengthening fundamental commands using proven techniques.
Extended Resting Skills: Training to remain calm on a raised cot for 1-2 hours, perfect for those moments when you’re busy at home.
Tailored Socialization: Both indirect and direct interactions with people and other dogs, adjusted to your dog’s comfort level.
Reducing Unwanted Behaviors: Techniques to limit nipping, biting, and jumping.

Prerequisites:

Your dog must be 6 months or older and a good candidate for advanced behavioral training.
Up-to-date vaccinations are required for safety.
To reserve your spot, a $1,000 non-refundable deposit is required, with the remainder due at the start of camp.
